Larissa started at SICPA in February 2019 as a Design Trainee. Following this experience, we are proud to have her as an employee today. From Trainee to Design Project Coordinator, Larissa tells us more about her journey. 

How did your integration at SICPA go?
My internship at SICPA was a professional experience that I would qualify as extremely positive for many reasons. The first one is the integration programme of the company that made me feel in the right place from the beginning. During this period, I had the chance to attend several trainings to better understand SICPA’s solutions. Seeing that my start was planned and that I was surrounded by positive and caring people made me feel good professionally and personally. To be fully honest, since I arrived at SICPA, I never felt inferior, which can sometimes happen in some companies. They trusted me from the beginning, and it pushed me to work harder.

I have learned many things so far, both in terms of SICPA solutions and standards to be met in terms of communication and design, and at a more strategic level with the presentation of these solutions on printed or virtual media. I also had the chance to learn how to organise meetings, small workshops, collect feedbacks and consider these in my work. I had the opportunity to participate in collaborative projects, allowing me to work with people from different teams. The results of this collaboration were more than positive.

Which project did you like the most during your internship?
The project that I liked the most was one in which we had to totally redesign a value document. It helped me a lot to understand the technical constraints for ink positioning. This input was also useful for another project I was leading since the beginning of my internship.

How was your relationship with your colleagues and managers?
My relationship with my colleagues was great. They were available for me and very nice. They always did everything they could for me to feel welcomed and I am very grateful for that. The relationship I had with my managers was excellent. They were also reachable whenever I needed them, which contributed a lot to my general well-being.

What do you like the most at SICPA?
What I appreciated the most about SICPA is the fact that the company is focused on innovation at all levels. Every idea is a good one and you will always find someone willing to listen, I find it amazing. The human side of the company is also a powerful resource.

To conclude, I really think that interns are well integrated in the company and benefit from several advantages. I am very happy to continue my journey at SICPA.
