What was your perception of SICPA before joining?

The perception I had before joining the company was that the company had grown a lot in the last few years, although it already was one of the leading multinationals in the inks for banknotes industry. However, when joining SICPA, I discovered that it was also a diversified company working on different solutions in terms of physical and digital security and that it was not only about banknotes, as I thought.

Why do you enjoy working at SICPA?

The things that I love the most about working at SICPA is the team collaboration, knowledge sharing with my colleagues in Dubai and internationally as well as the opportunities to learn. Indeed, there are plenty of opportunities to learn, especially on the field when leading projects as I am doing now for the service management.

Describe your typical working day at SICPA?

My typical work day is essentially made of projects follow-ups and implementations. I also provide support to other entities, escalate necessary issues to my line manager and global support team and participate in daily meetings with project members. The key word of each one of my days is: communication. Indeed, my job, as often, is all about communicating the right information to the right people and make the projects go ahead effectively and rapidly.

Could you describe a team project which you are particularly proud of?

I am very proud of working with the Global Service Delivery Solutions team and leading the implementation of a mobile application for new projects in many of our entities around the world. It needs a lot of coordination and collaboration to be able to work with so many different people spread all over the world. Indeed, there are many constraints such as time difference that add some difficulties in fixing meetings and having always an efficient communication. For all these reasons, I am very proud to work on this project with all these people.

According to you, what are the key soft skills necessary in your job?

I think that there are several necessary soft skills for this job. Indeed, we need to have the right attitude when dealing with others on the projects. Everything is about collaboration, understanding other’s needs, having the necessary patience to achieve the goals set and the right perseverance towards the challenges encountered in the daily job.

How do you manage your professional and personal life?

Managing professional and personal life is not that easy. But I am glad that somehow, I can balance my personal life and my work, responsibilities as a husband, son and father to my children. Everything is a matter of balance and never letting one thing go over the other.

If you could choose only three words to describe SICPA and your daily life at SICPA, what would they be?

Innovative, challenging and collaborative
