Sustainability
Sustainability is at the core of SICPA
SICPA operates globally and is committed to acting as a responsible corporate citizen across the environmental, social, economic and governance spectrums. Sustainability is part of our heritage, values and vision.
SICPA is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, adopter of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and committed to the International Currency Association (ICA) Sustainability Charter.
Our sustainability journey
For the last five decades, SICPA has developed products and services that reduce its environmental footprint while maximising its social impact.
From innovative security solutions to optimised transport, packaging and energy efficiency, these efforts reflect a long-standing commitment to protecting employees, customers and citizens worldwide.
Our sustainability ambition and priorities
SICPA seeks to continuously enhance its environmental and social performance across its entire value chain, in alignment with the United Nations Global Compact principles and contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Based on its materiality assessment and its commitment to act as a responsible corporate citizen in the environmental, social and governance fields, SICPA has articulated its sustainability ambition around the three main ESG axes.
Reducing emissions by 2035 and reaching net zero by 2050 are key milestones in SICPA's climate journey.
Sustainability in our activities
Building on this ambition, SICPA has defined 10 ESG priorities contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SICPA has defined a clear and structured decarbonisation pathway, with the objective of substantially reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2035 and achieving net‑zero emissions across its value chain by 2050.
In addition, SICPA is committed to making a positive social impact in the communities in which it operates, to ensuring the well-being and safety of its employees, and to maintaining a high level of business integrity by complying with the law and acting in accordance with its values.
All SICPA Sustainability Reports
Since 2022, SICPA uses the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards for its primary sustainability reporting. The GRI framework, recognised worldwide for its rigorous standards and guidelines, enables SICPA to provide a clear and holistic understanding of its environmental, social and governance initiatives, and to demonstrate its commitment to a sustainable future.
This follows ten years of SICPA reporting on corporate social responsibility through its CSR Reports.
