Sustainability is at the core of SICPA. It is part of our heritage, values and vision. SICPA operates globally and is committed to acting as a responsible corporate citizen across the environmental, social, economic and governance spectrums.

To reach our sustainability objectives, SICPA continues to develop new generations of security inks and other technologies, optimise transport and packaging, and implement energy efficiency initiatives as well as ensure the protection and safety of its employees, customers, and citizens around the world.

SICPA is a member of the United Nations Global Compact, adopter of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and committed to the International Currency Association (ICA) Sustainability Charter.

2022 Sustainability Report

This first-ever Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) report was published in July 2023 and covers the calendar year 2022. Voluntarily adopted by SICPA, the GRI framework, recognised worldwide for its rigorous standards and guidelines, will now serve as the foundation for the company’s reporting on sustainability topics. Environment sustainability

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

SICPA’s environmental impact is mainly due to its manufacturing activities and the use of chemicals in the composition of security inks. Best manufacturing practices, sustainable sourcing of raw materials and operational controls are applied across all entities to limit our environmental impact as much as possible.
Communities sustainability

COMMUNITIES

SICPA is involved in the life of the communities in which it operates and participates is a series of scientific, cultural, educational, environmental and humanitarian aid projects. In Switzerland, we work closely with universities and research centers such as EPFL.
