Albania, Durres earthquake

In 2019, the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that shook the region of Thumane and Durres, 34km northwest of the capital Tirana, was the strongest tremor to hit Albania in decades. The disaster seriously damaged many infrastructures and left more than 12,000 people homeless.

SICPA Albania decided to support the local population of the town of Durres. Products such as nappies, milk, blankets, heaters were brought to the children's home in the town. A small event was also organised to distribute gifts to the children and bring a smile to their faces.
