Sabasaba Trade Fair 2025

Starting on National Day, July 7th, Sabasaba stands as Tanzania’s largest trade exhibition - a highly anticipated event that brings together businesses, innovators, government institutions, and consumers from across the country and the region.

As a committed partner in strengthening national systems and protecting consumer health, SICPA Tanzania, in collaboration with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), participated in Sabasaba to demonstrate how the Hakiki Stempu App, a secure mobile solution, supports Tanzania’s economic growth and market integrity.

Developed in partnership with TRA, the Hakiki Stempu App is a smart, user-friendly mobile tool that enables consumers, retailers, and regulators to instantly verify the authenticity of excisable products bearing Electronic Tax Stamps (ETS). With a single scan, Hakiki confirms whether a product is genuine, counterfeit, expired, or illegally sold - helping protect lives, safeguard businesses, combat illicit trade, and ensure government revenue collection to fund infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

At the TRA and SICPA Tanzania booths, visitors experienced first-hand how our technologies help combat illicit trade, safeguard revenue collection, and protect consumers from harmful products.

Through live demonstrations of the Hakiki Stempu App, attendees discovered just how easy it is to verify product authenticity with a single scan. Our teams engaged directly with visitors, raising awareness about the app and the importance of choosing genuine products. Through interactive sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and one-on-one consultations, SICPA Tanzania and TRA reaffirmed their commitment to building a safe, transparent, and trusted marketplace for all Tanzanians.
