How did your journey at SICPA begin, and what were your first impressions?

My journey at SICPA began ten years ago with an internship in Events & Communication. Within just six months, I had the chance to travel across three continents, gaining valuable experience and taking on real responsibilities that shaped the start of my career. Because SICPA works with highly specialised customers, the company has traditionally maintained a discreet profile. Before applying, I didn’t know much about it. But once I started researching, I discovered how deeply SICPA’s solutions are connected to everyday life and how much value they bring to society. That realisation became my main motivation to apply.

What are some key responsibilities you’ve taken on since joining?

Over time, my role has expanded from focusing on one specific business area to covering all business units. Today, I lead a team and work on a variety of marketing initiatives and concepts. My responsibilities now include optimising budgets, improving efficiency, and ensuring clear role allocation to maximise impact. I also play an active role in sharing knowledge across the business and making sure all key stakeholders are involved in important projects. SICPA has let me develop leadership skills, influence company‑wide initiatives, and contribute to the launch of solutions that deliver real value to our customers and society.

What do you like most about your current role at SICPA?

What I value most in my current role is the opportunity to collaborate across all parts of the business. This interaction provides a broad perspective and allows me to contribute to projects with real impact. I also enjoy leading a dynamic team whose creativity, dedication, and expertise inspire me daily. Their energy makes our work environment motivating and rewarding. Finally, being involved in the launch of new solutions is especially exciting. It reflects SICPA’s commitment to innovation and progress, and gives me the chance to help drive meaningful change.

How has SICPA supported your professional growth?

I truly feel that SICPA values potential and provides every opportunity to thrive. At one point, I left to pursue my own business, but the company continued to support me, offering freelance projects and eventually welcoming me back into a higher position with more responsibilities. Managers have consistently encouraged my initiative and drive to take on more. One of the most defining moments came just three months after returning from maternity leave, when I was promoted into my current role. This reflects SICPA’s commitment to professional growth, career development, and empowering employees to succeed.

What are the most valuable lessons you’ve learned during your time at SICPA?

Stay curious, ask to get involved and involve others. I have had managers over the years who truly showed me the value of collaboration and curiosity. By getting involved you will be able to learn and observe, by involving others, you provide the same opportunity.

What motivates you to come to work every day?

A decade later, that same motivation that encouraged me to apply continues to drive me. Working at SICPA means contributing to a mission that protects sovereignty of nations, supports businesses, and creates a safer, more transparent world. It provides me and many of my colleagues with a real sense of purpose.

What advice would you give to someone starting their career at SICPA?

Starting your career at SICPA means joining a company with a wealth of expertise and opportunities. No matter your role, there are opportunities to shape your career path. I’ve seen colleagues change directions based on their skills, taking on entirely new challenges. That flexibility is part of what makes SICPA such a dynamic place to build a career. Learn from your colleagues, and if you see an opportunity to do something differently, do it and you will be rewarded.

Where do you see yourself growing next within SICPA?

While I have my ideas, I like to keep an open mind. What is incredibly important to me is to keep learning and knowing SICPA, I will be given plenty of opportunities to do so.
