Since 10 June 2025, SICPA has been publishing a series of articles dedicated to raise awareness of counterfeit products and illicit trade, and to share its expertise on how to prevent and protect against these threats. As we conclude the year, we turn our focus to a less well-known illicit trade threat: fuel.

On 10 June, SICPA announced the launch of a year-long series of articles to mark the World Anti-Counterfeiting Day. Through these articles, we aim to raise awareness of the impact of counterfeiting and illicit trade on global trade, public safety and the economy. We will also showcase - How SICPA contributes to fostering legitimate trade, protecting citizens and supporting businesses.

On September 23–24, 2025, SICPA Uganda teamed up with Kitebi Secondary School and Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS) for a two-day blood donation drive that collected nearly 500 units of blood.

In a world increasingly focused on environmental sustainability, brands are innovating to minimise their ecological footprint, and consumers are becoming more mindful of their choices. But while industries invest in greener materials and cleaner production, there’s a silent disruptor undermining these efforts: counterfeit goods. Often dismissed as just a financial or reputational issue, counterfeiting is also an environmental threat.

On the occasion of World Anti-Counterfeiting Day, established in 1999 and observed annually on 10th June, SICPA supports the fight against counterfeiting and illicit trade which have a global impact, through its diverse solutions and key areas of expertise.
